Roadmap
What's next.
What shipped, what's in development. This page updates when the firmware does.

- Firmware updates over the airShipped
POST /update takes an image on the LAN, gated by an update key — a node with no key set refuses firmware from everyone. A wrong or truncated image is refused before the boot slot is touched, and a node that took a bad-but-bootable image reverts to its factory image with one call. An image that cannot boot at all needs no call: the bootloader puts the node back on the image it was running, which was proven by pushing one that panics on purpose. All of it on real nodes over Wi-Fi.
- Node-side text wrappingShipped
The node wraps and columns receipt text itself: printWidthCols (measured default 48), per-receipt overrides, cut clearance. Tuning a node is a curl, not a reflash.
- Drawer kick at 0.15 sShipped
60× faster than the 9–24 s Wi-Fi power-save stall it replaced. Measured on real hardware, fixed in firmware 1.0.9.
- Scanner control surfaceShipped
GET /scans keeps a verdict per read — rejects included, with the reason. Symbology is labeled aim when the scanner transmitted it and inferred when it's a guess. Decode policy (read modes, timeouts, allow-lists, layouts) is set over PUT /config.
- LAN peer discoveryShipped
Nodes beacon over UDP and serve GET /peers, so one known IP reaches the whole fleet on the LAN.
- Accounts with claim codesShipped
Sign in with an emailed code, claim a node with the code on its printed slip, see your fleet and when each node was last seen. Release any time — the node keeps working either way.
- Station Hub checkoutShipped
The Station Hub is for sale — Stripe checkout shows price and shipping. Checkout is the only cloud on this page; the print path stays on your LAN.
In development
What we're building now.
No dates — each of these ships when it passes the same bar as everything above: proven on real hardware, covered by the conformance suite. A print job on the LAN will never route through any of it.
- · Fleet console — the account fleet view shows presence and firmware version today; remote management, including pushing an update from the console, is in development
- · Ethernet / PoE transports
- · RS-232 serial
- · Scale support
- · ePOS-XML and CloudPRNT emulation
- · Next-generation board — PN-PROTO-1 exists as concept renders
