Set up your node. Print your first receipt.
Start with the setup guide if you have a Proxy Node Raw. If you are evaluating it for a printer or POS, check the integration requirements first. The API reference and troubleshooting guides cover what to do next.
Start here
Set up a new board, or check the printer, software and network you will need before buying.
- Quickstart: From Box to First ReceiptConnect Proxy Node Raw, join Wi-Fi, check the printer connection and send a first receipt. Includes setup without a printer attached.
- Integration Requirements for Proxy Node RawCheck the board, printer, cables, software and local network needed for a Raw integration, including POS and cash-drawer limits.
Connect your software
Send a receipt, read status, protect the local API and handle errors without duplicate prints.
- The Node HTTP API: Scope, Auth, and LimitsPrint a receipt, read status and handle errors with the local HTTP API. Includes curl examples, authentication and network requirements.
- Node API Error Codes and Retry AdviceLook up local API errors and recovery steps. Learn when to retry and when a print may already have reached the printer.
- Node API Auth: open, admin, and strictHow a node is locked down: the three apiMode tiers, the X-PN-Api-Key header, the separate update key, and the 15-second button hold that clears both.
- Node Webhooks: Push Events to Your POSReceive local device events over HTTP, verify their HMAC signature and handle delivery failures.
Fix a problem or check your firmware
Work through a failed connection or print, and identify the firmware for your board.
- Troubleshooting a Node: LEDs, USB, PrintingWork through power, Wi-Fi, printer detection and print failures. Read status, recover safely and collect the details support needs.
- Firmware Variants: What Each Build DeclaresIdentify the firmware variant for your board and understand update compatibility, hardware capabilities and qualification limits.
Need help choosing a setup?
Check the compatibility page for supported protocols and the limits of POS discovery. A printer speaking ESC/POS does not by itself establish that your POS can use it through a node.
Ask about your printer and POS with their exact model names, how they connect, and what you need to print. For a node you already own, include its firmware version and the symptom you see.
